Food justice is not just about one store, but about building a more resilient food ecosystem.
When we learned that our friends and suppliers FarmerJawn Agriculture lost one of their hoop houses last winter, we jumped into action.
We deployed philanthropic capital from FMC Corporation to rebuild the hoop house; ensuring a consistent supply of regenerative, organic, local produce for The Community Grocer through the winter months.
Thanks to additional support from FMC, we aren’t just bringing the farm to our community, but our community to the farm. We host annual field trips with students from W.C. Bryant Promise academy to FarmerJawn to connect our youth and community to the food ecosystem as a whole.
Join our journey as we build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient food system from soil to supper.
